Limited edition book of selections of paintings from the Kensington Sketchbook series.

Kensington Sketchbook is a compilation of paintings I've made while working as the Resident Artist and Program Manager at Color Me Back: Same Day Work and Pay Program through Mural Arts Philadelphia. The studio is located at Kensington and Allegheny. Over the years I have been immersed in the community while working on collaborative murals and all the while I have been maintaining a practice of drawing and painting from observation. I have been so fascinated and inspired by the uniqueness of the neighborhood, teeming with life and raw creativity in ways that do not exist anywhere else. I have made close to 100 small paintings and have edited them down to a cohesive collection of 36 for this book.
